Singapore is one of the most beautiful cities I've visited, but what stood out most was how intentional everything felt. The city is incredibly clean, modern, and full of lush greenery, giving it an atmosphere that's almost too perfect. While I do find it a bit artificial, I think that's part of what gives Singapore its unique charm.
The island is relatively small, so I think 3 or 4 days is the perfect amount of time to see the major attractions. Getting around is easy, especially by bus. All you have to do is tap your credit or debit card when you get on and tap again when you get off. The MRT, however, was a different story. Some stations are connected to massive shopping malls, and I definitely got lost trying to locate the train and honestly, even to exit. Personally, I would avoid and just take the bus lol. Despite that, Singapore is one of the easiest cities to explore, and its blend of efficiency, architecture, and green spaces makes it a destination that's well worth visiting.
TIPS
Sunscreen: Singapore is hot, humid, and close to the equator, so sunscreen is a must. The sun can feel much stronger than you expect.
Cash: Cash is not really necessary since cards are widely accepted. However, I would bring a small amount of cash for hawker centers, as some smaller vendors may only accept cash.
Transportation: Uber is cheap and convenient, especially if you're traveling with multiple people. Public transportation is also very affordable and efficient.
Arrival Form: Make sure to complete the Singapore Arrival Card before landing. It’s required for entry and can be completed online before your trip.
Bus Tip: If you're taking the bus, don't forget to tap your credit or debit card when you get on and when you get off. If you forget to tap out, you'll be charged the maximum fare. It's not a lot, but there's no reason to pay more than you have to.
